She looks pretty sweet. Like you said, most people tend to avoid Atelier Sai, mostly because of QC issues. I try my best to avoid them because they make really, really, REALLY huge bases too large for my tastes more often than not ^^;
I think pink actually works for Mai, while understandably most would try to go for original colors. In a sense too, this figure is nicer than Kotobukiya’s in the respect that you see more of Mai as opposed to her in a crouching position. I wouldn’t consider this a consolation Mai just because you didn’t manage to get Kotobukiya’s, I like to think you’re getting different facets of Mai with this figure instead
Hmmm.. in my opinion, I like kotobukiya version much more since it’s much moe and closer to the 2D version of her… well, this is still nice anyway since this is a sculptor’s art and originals.
